Distance Education "UG and PG Degree Programs in from Jaipur National University" Brief about "Jaipur National University" (JNU)

JNU is the venture of the Seedling Group of Institutions which is in the field of higher education since 2002 with the establishment of Seedling Academy of Design Technology and Management (SADTM). Seedling Institute of Integrated Learning and Advanced Studies (SIILAS) was founded in 2005. With the formation of Jaipur National University (JNU) these institutes were merged with the university. JNU Main Campus has come up on 45 acres of land. October 22, 2007 was a historical day for Mahima Shiksha Samiti, the sponsoring body of the Jaipur National University, and for the Seedling Institutions of Higher Education, when the Government of Rajasthan announced the establishment of the University.

The Directorate of Distance Education is headed by Dr. K.K. Gautam, who was formerly Senior Regional Director at the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

Recognition

• JNU is recognized by UGC, under section - 2(f) of the University Grant Commission Act, 1956.
• Jaipur National University and its courses are recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC) vide Notification No. F.No. DEC/Recog/2009/3179, dated 09 Sep. 2009.
• All programs offered by JNU through its distance education program are recognized by Distance Education Council and joint committee of DEC/AICTE/UGC.
• As per Notification no.44 of Ministry of Human Resources and Development all students passing these courses are eligible for Central Government Jobs.
